Hallo!
Kontaktdaten:
I've just moved to Frankfurt from the US. My friend Carlos posted in another thread about my move and how to learn the details of racing here. Following the advice of that thread, I've started this thread to learn how to get a bike, racing license, etc.
I obtained my WERA race license in early 2009, but didn't race consistently until the 2010 season. I had a great time and had some good finishes. I raced in the 600 class. In WERA we call that C Superstock and C superbike. I also raced the 600 in the 750 classes and the Formula 1 (open) class.
From what I've seen so far, the bikes here are MUCH more expensive than they are in the States. Am I missing something or looking in the wrong places? I've mostly searched mobile.de. I'm looking for a 2007-08 CBR 600RR, and I'll most likely have it do road and track duty.
I already have leathers, helmet, gloves, boots, chest and back protector, tire warmers, etc. In the states we have enclosed trailers to haul everything to the track. What is the procedure here?
Thanks in advance!

You have to arrange the transport of your stuff on your own.Munky hat geschrieben: In the states we have enclosed trailers to haul everything to the track. What is the procedure here?
Most of the users were used to buy their own bus / small trailer or transporter.
Sometimes you can find a "Mitfahrgelegenheit" to the different events. Just take a look into "Boxensharing, Mitfahren, Startplätze" for a place.

Hello, Munky!
Besides mobile.de you can also try motoscout24.de, eventhough the latter does
not have that much offers online.
If you would like to go for a real race class, not necessarily on a CBR, probably
http://www.yamaha-cup.de/index.cgi?x=X& ... &h=menuTop
and
http://www.triumph-cup.de/
might be of interest.
In general, just for track days, you can search here on racing4fun under the topics
"Termine" (dates) = "Renntrainings" (track days).
Some of the organizing companies = "Veranstalter" also have their own race cups.
"Termine" and "Veranstalter" you will find on the left top of the starting page of
racing4fun.
Cheers,
René
