I got the Gilles Tooling GP light handlebars and now looking to replace the switches. I looked at the one from AR but are they made from gold or is €400 an acceptable price?

I guess I only need a starting button and a DTC mode selector. I'm not using the laptimer. Are there better/cheaper solutions?

The price is acceptable since AR is almost the only manufacturer of those switches for the BMW and you won't get the plugs anywhere else to replace the standard switches.
But why do you want to replace them?
You can easily remove the left switch from the handle bar and fix it somewhere into the front fairing, your raceholder or the ram-air. That way it is safe on case of a crash and you can keep the clutch switch on the lever.

The right side might be replaced, if you really like to. But the switch will break in case of a crash as well, so there is no advantage.

I wanted to replace them because I had heated grip which I removed. On the right side, the switch is attached to the throttle control and when I remove that, the switch doens't fit the handle bar properly. The diameter is a bit bigger, of course I place someting underneath like a rubber patch.

On the lefy side, I cannot imagine anything that I want to keep. There's the laptimer which I don't use, the turn signal, horn, lights, .... I think I just need the starter button and the mode selector.
