Der Penz-Faktor

Zwei Stunden noch. Die Dinge stehen gut für uns. Die vergangenen Stunden waren unglaublich. Es war Tim/Penz-Wetter. Nieselregel. Die große Tim Röthig-Show beginnt. 36er-Runden bei feuchter Strecke. Unglaublich. Dann kommt der Penz. Und steht Tim in nix nach. Er fährt schneller als die WM-Top-Teams, die sich auf Verfolgung von SERT befinden. Die beiden Regengötter fahren im Wechsel und holen Runde um Runde auf. Erst kassieren sie die Maddogs, dann Abbco/Lucas. Zu den Boxennachbarn aus dem Sauerland ist es ein weiter Weg. Aber wir pushen gewaltig, wollen um den Klassensieg fahren.


Von zehn Rundenrückstand holen die zwei Rainmen 8,5 auf. Dann stürzt Dirk Debus in der Hotelkurven. Gerüchten nach ein Getriebeschaden als Auslöser. Abbco sitzt uns im Nacken, Bundy folgt auf Rang 3. Wir fahren weiter offensiv.

At around noon Suzuki Castrol arrived at the pits with a broken chain but they rejoined the race having lost the minimum amount of time because the pace car was called out shortly afterwards. The pace car was called out a second time at around 12:30 after Suzuki MSF Sauerland crashed
2nd placed Yamaha Austria closed the gap on 1st place to four laps, but Suzuki Castrol are back up to speed and maintaining their lead.

Yamaha Phase One are still 3rd, a lap in front of Kawasaki Bolliger who are themselves 14 laps in front of Kawasaki Diablo.
