da ich den Isle of Man Thread nicht mehr finde, dachte ich einfach, ich mache einen neuen, da ich über FB neue Informationen über seinen Gesundheitszustand erhalten habe.

Guten Morgen allerseits.
Es tut mir leid es ist schon so lange her seit meinem letzten Nachricht. Vielen Dank an Gert für die folgenden Informationen. Karsten ist weiterhin besser zu werden. Er hat nun aus der Intensivstation für fast zwei Monate und er verbringt immer mehr und mehr Zeit aus dem Bett. Er ist derzeit in einem Krankenhaus in Hameln, wo er nach zwei Operationen auf seiner Haut erholt sich.
Karsten ist auf seine Rede und sein Gedächtnis funktioniert: Er hat gute und schlechte Tage, je nachdem, wie müde er ist. Er hat keine Erinnerung an den diesjährigen TT aber er weiß jetzt, was passiert ist. Soweit meine begrenztes Verständnis von Kopfverletzungen geht, es nimmt sich Zeit für Dinge wieder normal zu. Wichtig ist, zeigt er keine Spur verloren zu haben sein berühmtes Sinn für Humor.
Wenn Sie feiern, ich hoffe Ihr Weihnachten ist toll. Ich hoffe, du wirst mich in diesem beitreten
- ich wünsche Karsten, Simone und Konstantin alles Gute im neuen Jahr zu bieten hat.

Morning all,
I'm sorry it's been so long since the last update. Many thanks to Gert for the following information. Karsten is continuing to get better. He has now been out of the Intensive Care Unit for nearly two months and has been spending more and more time out of bed. He's currently in a hospital in Hameln, recuperating after a couple of skin operations: when that is sorted, he'll be moved back to the other hospital to continue his recovery.
Karsten is working on both his talking and his memory: he has good days and bad days, depending on how tired he is. He has no memory of this year's TT but he now knows what happened. As far as my limited understanding of head injuries goes, it takes time for things to drop back into place. Importantly, he shows no sign of having lost his famous sense of humour.
I hope this Christmas is a great one for all who are celebrating and I hope you'll join me in wishing Karsten, Simone and Konstantin the best that the new year has to offer.
